SQ Mag, an Australian outfit who previously published my short story Nullus, have a themed edition every year. Last year’s was female speculative fiction writers; this year, they’ve done an Australiana edition. I was fortunate enough to have them publish my short dystopian science fiction story Keep The Water Out, which follows a family of immigrant salavage divers in a flooded future Perth.
I’m on a motorcycle trip across America at the moment and pressed for time, but I’m looking forward to reading the entire edition at leisure at a later date. Perhaps it’s a local prejudice which foreign readers have less interest in, but I’m always keen to see what local authors have to contribute to the fields of science fiction and fantasy, and I’m grateful to be included in this special edition.
