Mitch: Okay guys, remember how you have to learn a song every month, and then you perform it in front of the rest of the school, and the best class wins a prize? And remember how last month we bombed out because I totally forgot to teach you the song even once? Well this month we’re doing it.
Class: Itsy bitsy spider, climbed up the waterspout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out,
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain,
So itsy bitsy spider…
Mitch: Charles! Get off the table! I see you do anything that crazy on the day… and we might just have ourselves a new pair of parachute pants!

(reading from the book)
Student 1: When she was walking to her piano lesson, Lucy saw a beautiful dress in a store window.
Student 2: It was pink and had lots of sequins.
Student 3: Lucy said to her mother, “Mommy, can I please have that dress for my birthday?”
Student 4: Her mother smiled. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”
Mitch: Now she’ll really be surprised when she opens that ironing board cover.

(writing four sentences on the board for the students to memorise; the week’s topic is chlorophyll)
